The Nepal Informatics Olympiad is a nationwide competition organized annually by STEM Foundation Nepal.

What Is Nepal Olympiad for Informatics?


Nepal Olympiad for Informatics (NOI) is the national event to select the bright higher secondary school (+2) students who are interested in computer science and programming. The outstanding four (4) selected most brilliant NOI finalists will be getting the opportunity to attend in the prestigious International Olympiad for Informatics.

The International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) is an annual international informatics competition for individual contestants from various invited countries, accompanied by social and cultural programs.

International science Olympiads, and is one of the most prestigious computer science competitions in the world. The number of participating countries has continuously increased, with more than 900 participants and 85 countries attending last year for the IOI 2018 in Tsukuba, Japan.

Registration for the 2019-2020 round of the Nepal Olympiad for Informatics (NOI) will open after mid-August, 2019. Details will be announced on this page by the end of July, 2019.

The Nepal Olympiad for Informatics (NOI) is open to all school students across the country, from any school board. Any student registered in school upto class 12 during the academic year 2019-2020 is eligible. There is no lower age limit for participation.

Nepal Olympiad for Informatics(NOI) Program


The Nepal Olympiad for Informatics(NOI) program in three main parts.

College Informatics Olympiad (CIO)

The College Informatics Olympiad (CIO) is a written exam. held at colleges across the country.




Provisional Informatics Olympiad (PIO)

Alternatively, students can qualify for the second round by taking part in the Provisional Informatics Olympiad (PIO), a programming contest. The programming languages supported are C, C++, Java and Python.

National
Informatics Olympiad(NIO)

Approximately 28 students are selected from POI for the NOI Training Camp (NOITC). NOITC-2019 took place from 10 Nov to 29 Nov, 2019. NOITC-2020 is likely to take place in early May, 2020.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), previously Science, Math, Engineering and Technology (SMET), is a term used to group together these academic disciplines. This term is typically used when addressing education policy and curriculum choices in schools to improve competitiveness in science and technology development.

Nepal Biology Olympiad (NBO) is the national event to select the bright higher secondary school (+2) students from biology background who are most likely to excel in the health, biological, natural and life sciences field.

Where We Active


The International Science Olympiads are a group of worldwide annual competitions in various areas of science. The competitions are designed for the 4-6 best high school students from each participating country selected through internal National Science Olympiads, with the exception of the IOL, which allows two teams per country, the IOI, which allows two teams from the hosting country, and the IJSO, which is designed for junior secondary students.
